乾隆年間國泰民安，百姓安居樂業(yè)欣欣向榮過的是好不快活。 皇上在御前侍衛(wèi)高迪的陪同下前往江南體恤民情。在皇上出宮后一長陰謀正在展開，一位野心勃勃的王爺竟然暗地與當(dāng)?shù)睾趲凸唇Y(jié)一路追殺皇帝。 在前往惠州城的路上遇上了從京城逃婚離家的野蠻格格賈仁。經(jīng)過一場(chǎng)“惡斗”后三人決定一同上路，在惠州城的集市遇到了在集市中擺擂臺(tái)的“洋鬼子”元宵。元宵在比試中輸給了賈仁格格執(zhí)意要讓賈仁格格收他為徒。三人想盡辦法卻無法擺脫元宵，無奈只能收下元宵為徒。半夜在惠州城的某客棧，突然出現(xiàn)蒙面黑衣人刺殺皇帝，還好刺客技藝不精，皇帝沒有受到半點(diǎn)傷害。高迪決定四人連夜趕往他的老家避難。 在高迪家中，皇上遇到高迪的表妹惠喬，皇上對(duì)惠喬一見傾心，賈仁格格也慢慢的愛上了那個(gè)英俊風(fēng)流的侍衛(wèi)高迪。賈仁格格與元宵在回家的路上遇到一對(duì)奇丑無比的戀人。兩人因?yàn)橄嗝渤舐阅赀^四十還沒成家。善良的賈仁格格便與眾人一起幫助這對(duì)苦命鴛鴦籌辦婚禮，終于讓這對(duì)苦命戀人有情人終成眷屬。皇上與惠喬，高迪與賈仁在這段日子感情也逐漸升溫。豈料此時(shí)皇上與惠喬被蜻蜓幫綁架，高迪與賈仁心急如焚，托朋友四處打聽皇上與惠喬的下落。 綁架皇上的正是蜻蜓幫的幫主夫人瑤，此女人也曾經(jīng)是皇上的愛人，當(dāng)年為了皇帝背叛幫會(huì)。由愛生恨，此女對(duì)皇上當(dāng)年棄之不顧的事耿耿與懷。但是在與皇帝相處的這段日子里舊情復(fù)燃并偷偷的通知高迪皇帝被囚禁之處。 在與眾人的幫助下高迪終于找到了皇帝的所在，但在這個(gè)時(shí)候元宵露出了狐貍尾巴，眾人沒有想到元宵竟然是蜻蜓幫的人，在這個(gè)關(guān)鍵時(shí)候元宵倒戈相向。所幸的是元宵的背叛并沒有個(gè)給大家?guī)硎裁绰闊詈筮€是將皇帝從蜻蜓幫的魔爪之中救出。通過這次危難四人的感情更是牢固，最后成就了這一段錯(cuò)體姻緣。
