Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.  預科學校巴頓學院的老師保羅（保羅·吉亞瑪提 飾）不太受歡迎，不管是學生、老師還是校長，都不太喜歡他，他們覺得他浮夸又僵化。在1970年的圣誕假期，保羅留在了學校監督無法回家的學生。幾天后，只有一個學生留了下來——一個名叫安格斯的15歲搗蛋鬼，他是一個被不良行為破壞的好學生，總是在被開除的邊緣試探。與保羅和安格斯一起留下的還有學校廚師長瑪麗，一個為特權階層的兒子們提供服務的非裔美國婦女，她自己的兒子最近在越南失蹤了。這三個截然不同的失意者組成了一個奇怪的圣誕家庭，在新英格蘭大雪紛飛的兩個星期里，分享著不幸經歷，并意識到他們中沒有人感謝自己的過去。

黑暗之中

　　Vertical Entertainment取得娜塔莉·多默爾、艾德·斯克林主演影片[黑暗之中](In Darkness，暫譯)的北美發行權，該片由安東尼·拜恩執導。該片講述盲人女孩索菲亞(多默爾飾)偶然聽到樓上有打斗之聲。實際上樓上的維羅尼卡已遭人陷害。而索菲亞也無故卷入一場黑暗事件中。該片預計今年5月北美上映。
