中村優一,小林涼子高中三年級學生朝倉曉生是個車迷,這天他在車行里發現了一輛深藍色的日產FairladyS30Z。這正是傳說中的“惡魔Z”,號稱速度最快的改裝車。據說“惡魔Z”仿佛有著自己的意志,能夠根據情況做出反應,它的高速令人生畏,卻又深深地吸引著追求速度之夢的人們。“惡魔Z”曾經的擁有者都出了事故,這輛車在世上銷聲匿跡了一陣,竟然又出現了。曉生迷上了“惡魔Z”,為之投入了全副精力,試圖去完全掌控它。 繪梨子的哥哥晶夫也因為“惡魔Z”而死,繪梨子非常討厭這輛車,反對讓它復活。然而曉生的熱情感染了她,她在曉生身上看到了哥哥的影子,漸漸地開始支持他。 繪梨子的男朋友島達也曾經是晶夫的賽車朋友,他認為應該把“惡魔Z”銷毀,阻止再有人犧牲。達也將愛車黑色保時捷911重新改裝,向曉生發出了戰書。 惡魔Z與黑鳥的對決拉開了序幕……

葛優,鞏俐,姜武,牛犇,郭濤,張璐,倪大紅,肖聰,董飛,劉天池,董立范,黃宗洛,劉燕瑾,李連義,楊同順根據余華同名小說改編。富少福貴(葛優)嗜賭成性,妻子家珍(鞏俐)屢勸無果后帶著女兒鳳霞離開了他,當夜,福貴輸光所有家產氣死父親,被迫靠變賣母親首飾租間破屋過活。一年后,家珍手拉鳳霞懷抱剛出世的兒子有慶回到家中,福貴痛改前非,開始靠演皮影戲過起安份守己的日子。但好景不常,內戰時期,福貴被國民黨抓去當勞工,一番輾轉終回到家鄉與一家人團圓后,鳳霞因病變成啞巴,而在后來的大躍進運動和文化大革命中,他雖獲某些小福,逆境卻也一直與他如影相隨。

澀谷凪咲,早瀨憩,山時聰真,荒木飛羽,今森茉耶,蒼井旬,染谷將太,松尾諭,小原正子,槙田雄司擔任臨時教師的君島穗香(澀谷凪咲),目擊了一個女學生從屋頂跳下的瞬間。當她在暑假補習班上課時,又注意到有個不應該存在的學生。不久后,穗香與補習班的三浦瞳(早瀨憩)、前川武(山時聰真)等學生們,得知了與那個女學生有關的令人震驚的事實。

The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
